Lapbooks!

Move over scrapbooking! My family has a new hobby - LAPBOOKING!!  We just began working on our second lapbook, coinciding with our second FIAR story, "Lentil"...   From rudimentary charcoal sketchings to the data of our "scientific" experiment on sound resonance, this lapbook is lookin' pretty darn good! 

Our first attempt at lapbooking "The Story About Ping" was just such a complete success; my girls are SO very proud of their creations, and it instantly brings back all of our lessons and memories, across the curriculum.

I know our lapbooks are not as ornate as those created by the more seasoned lapbookers; ours are using standard file folders as the template.  But my children have them filled with their creations - that makes them the BEST lapbbooks...ever.
